SOLO with Koonstück was created in collaboration with Melvyn Poore and continues the series of my solo pieces. 14 tones are modulated in their timbres …by enharmonic valve handles. The additional, precisely prescribed diaphragmatic thrusts and the rhythm of the notated pitches condense to triple polyphony. The idea of ​​running through it, like veins running through a rock face, leads to an initially open, later quite hidden chromatic downward line to the lowest note of the piece and to a breaking of the surface coherence in the sense of a multiple distance from an implied original music of the solo piece. This ranges from pure laughter at the music to a very loud playing of foreign material to whispering tones and the pppppp stroking of a large plush toy as a Koon piece and as noiselessness, which as such gives new color, density and content to the somewhat worn out avant-garde silence.
