Description

Buffoonery was a piece originally written for the trombonist Michael Skitt, as the final ‘prank’ movement of a concerto for trombone and orchestra. (Orchestral material available). By popular request, the piece was published for instrument and piano and has since proved equally entertaining for either Trombone, Bassoon, Cello, Alto or Tenor Saxophones! This book includes all the optional instrumental parts plus piano, and optional downloadable piano backing track, available at https://www.CliftonEdition.com/C606 Within a month of its publication, Buffoonery was set for trombone grade VIII on the Oxfordshire Instrumental Examinations Syllabus. There is also an arrangement available for Concert Band and Bassoon (catalogue number C214), as premiered on a UK tour by the Massed Bands of the RAF. The Trombone Concerto is also available as a piano reduction (C607) and full orchestral score and parts (C608). Duration: 4 – 5 minutes.
